Even with a high level of professionalism and care, problems can occur. Every operation results in a scar. Small side effects (skin tension, swelling, bruising and disturbed sensibility) resolve spontaneously over time and without lasting consequences.
Generally, I recommend that all patients treat the regions of their body that were operated on with great care for at least six weeks. Within this time, participation in vigorous sporting activities is not permitted. A fresh scar should be protected from the sun and solarium for six months to prevent pigmentary changes.
