The operation

Lip corrections can be performed surgically by the method of eversion. The lips can be enlarged by excising a strip of skin at the vermillion border or at the base of the nose. The angle of the mouth can be elevated by a small Z-plasty.

Lip augmentation can also be performed with fillers. The lips can be augmented in their entirety, or only the vermillion border can be accentuated. In cases where the lips are augmented with autologous fat, 2 to 3 brush-ups are necessary within one year to yield the desired result. The final result is long lasting.
