Treatment for wrinkles and folds

There are a variety of solutions for the treatment of skin wrinkles and folds.

Mimic wrinkles arise as a result of mimetic muscle movement. These wrinkles can usually be smoothened with botulinum toxin. The musculature does not become completely paralyzed, but rather only becomes attenuated. The result is an intact mimic expression of the face, with the face appearing animated in a natural way.

With regard to static wrinkles, the situation is completely different. Wrinkles and folds that arise due to gravity and the decreasing elasticity of the skin need to be filled. Only resorbable fillers, like hyaluronic acid, are used for this purpose.

A lasting correction of static wrinkles and folds is also possible using autologous fat tissue, which is yet a more complex procedure.
